Is it worth it to buy Toshiba Thrive?
Hello, I am looking to buy a new tablet. Currently i have my mind set on Thrive 16GB because its has many ports like connecting to TV, better cameras and can increase the hard drive with sd ports. Well
Ok, this really doesn't answer your question much, but I must say, 'Don't say ipad because they update every year'. Dude, nowadays, updating once a year is considered really long. At least you'll have the best tablet for a year right? Look at all the

Toshiba Thrive 16GB Android 3.1 Tablet SALE $359.99 Smart Buy
Hey, I thought it was a real shady site too. After hours and hours of debating, I decided to take the risk and pulled the trigger on ordering one of them. I also spoke on the phone with the manager/owner of the custom gadget store. From what I could get, he's a small business trying to grow. Scott seemed like a great guy, on-point customer service. My tablet should be coming in tomorrow, and well I don't think it's a scam. On top of that, I paid with paypal, so paypal covers my purchase if I don't receive my tablet. If all goes well tomorrow, I will be ordering another one. For the price, it's too good to pass up. I didn't even see this thread before; however, I did buy my Thrive from the Custom...
Toshiba Thrive 16GB and 8GB Units Already Available at Newegg ...
Feeling okay, Kellex? This is twice in the last couple weeks that you’ve posted about the Toshiba Thrive!
I am definitely interested. This is one that, if I were going to get a tablet, I would get. It may be a little bulky for some people but it seems to have everything going for it otherwise. REALLY surprised it hasn’t gotten more attention here. Are the expectations that Toshiba would not make a good tablet or not be good with Android updates or something? Anything that anybody knows would be helpful, because this is something that I would actually like to get.
Also, word on the internets is that certain Best Buy stores have been selling this to people in-store since last Saturday and letting them walk out with it.
...Androinica » Newegg selling Toshiba Thrive 16GB and 8GB right now
Is shelling these bad boys out early. They currently have the 16GB model for $479 and the 8GB model for $429. When I went to the site, checkout allowed me to put one in my cart for purchase — allowing me the ability of having the tablet within a couple of days courtesy of free shipping.
What should also be noted is the e-commerce site is offering somewhat of a sweetener for those ready to take the 16GB plunge. Newegg has in its stock, but customers are only allowed to purchase one — so stock must be limited.

The Toshiba Thrive is running Honeycomb 3.1 out the box and with its easy grip rubber — the Thrive plans to have one of the best form factors on the market when it comes to all other tablets. Much like the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, Toshiba’s new tablet will also carry a 10.1 inch screen with an NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor under the hood.
...Toshiba Thrive (16GB) Tablet Review
The tablet market has been dominated by the likes of Apple, Samsung and Motorola for the longest time and the three tablet manufacturers have divided the pie among themselves for lack of any serious competition from other companies. That is about to change though, with the entrance of Toshiba and its 10.1-inch Thrive.
Set to hit the shelves this month, the Toshiba Thrive is already thriving in the attention that it got months before. Will it be able to give the bad boys of the tablet market a run for their money? Read on as we take a closer look at the Toshiba Thrive.
Hardware
There's a removable back plate that can be swapped out for a different color for $20 each (green, orange, purple, blue, pink, silver, or plain old black), which also means the battery is removable, something else Toshiba is banking on to draw attention to the Thrive. –CNET,
