Verizon Samsung Galaxy Tab Help Needed?
May 21, 9450 by Alica | Posted in Cell Phones & Plans
I recently won a Samsung Galaxy Tab from Verizon. Is there a way to use the tab without having Verizon service or any other company's with my home router?
You can just use it on WiFi if you do not have a contract. If you have one you would need to cancel it. For other carriers you could not use it with a carrier other than Verizon

Samsung Galaxy S II Not Coming to Verizon
by Caimin
In a surprising move, there’s official confirmation today that Verizon will be the only major US carrier that will not be offering a version of the world’s current best selling phone the Samsung Galaxy S II.
The US launch date of the new Galaxy is due soon, with Samsung making a press announcement next week, but it’s already known that Sprint will launch the phone under the Epic Touch 4G name, while AT&T will call theirs the Samsung Attain and T-Mobile the Hercules.
Although it’s been thought for months that Verizon would offer the Galaxy S II as the Samsung Function, we now know that’s not the case and there will be no Galaxy S II on Verizon. When questioned about the phone, a Verizon spokesperson said:

, It appears quite likely that Big Red won't be involved in Samsung's anticipated launch event this coming Monday. The publication cites people familiar with the plans, who also mentioned that we should still expect to see the Galaxy S II make its way to Sprint, T-Mobile and AT&T at the very least. Now here's some possible relief to the sting you may have just felt: BGR
Samsung Galaxy S II not heading to Verizon | TG Daily
by Raven Lovecraft
Samsung's powerful next-generation smartphone will be going to AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile, but not Verizon, and that's Verizon's decision.
Apparently the nation's #1 mobile carrier doesn't want to inundate consumers with smartphones, and it just launched another Samsung phone, the Droid Charge.
The Galaxy S II is the latest in Samsung's "Galaxy" product line, the brand name used by the manufacturer to signify its highest-end smartphones.
When Samsung launched the Galaxy S name last year, it was more of a classification of phone rather than a particular model name. In other words, there were numerous different phones called "Galaxy S phone."
Verizon Wireless May Not Offer Samsung Galaxy S II After All ...
We've known about the upcoming announcement and launch of the Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone for US carriers for a little while now. It has been assumed that Samsung would make a variant of this phone for all four of the top U.S. carriers. Now, one of America's largest carriers, Verizon Wireless, has confirmed that it will not carry the Samsung Galaxy S II.
Reportedly, Verizon Wireless has chosen not to offer this highly anticipated smartphone because it doesn't want to overwhelm customers with smartphones and because the carrier is already offering another Samsung phone, the Droid Charge . A Verizon Wireless spokesperson confirmed the carrier will not be offering the smartphone, and said, "We have a robust portfolio of devices that offer customers exciting options including the Droid Charge by Samsung which runs on Verizon Wireless' 4G LTE network."
Samsung's Galaxy S II To Hit T-Mobile, AT&T, Sprint, But Not Verizon?
by Greg Kumparak
Set to touch down stateside. Come next Monday, Samsung will be spilling the details surrounding the Galaxy S II’s US launch.
Between the launch timeframe and its positioning as a flagship Android handset, it’s pretty much unavoidable that the Galaxy S II will be spun as the iPhone 5′s greatest rival — and in that battle, Samsung will need as much carrier support as it can get. Alas, it looks like they’ll have to go on without the support of the biggest carrier of all: Verizon.
in the US to get the Galaxy S II, launching it under the name “Function”. That’s just how things go when you live life around the rumor mill.
