Feb 27, 2011 by Farres | Posted in Cell Phones & Plans
I was thinking of getting a motorola xoom sometime later this year but I just wanted to know how much it cost and when the wifi only version is coming out because I heard the 3g version off contract is
The wifi only version is slated to go for $600, but the company isn't releasing it until well after the release of the other versions. They have not said when that will be. Probably waiting to see how the 3g version goes.

can the Motorola xoom (wifi only) have a Verizon data plan? or do you need the 3G enabled xoom for a data plan?
Jul 17, 2011 by El Machete | Posted in Cell Phones & Plans
A month to month data plan like 2G for $30 a month
The Motorola Xoom (Wi-Fi) version does not work with Verizon at all. It only works at any Wi-Fi hotspot locaiton. In order to use the Verizon data internet plan, you would need to purchase a Motorola Xoom that has (Wi-Fi and 3G) capability.

I am thinking of purchasing a XOOM, and I was wondering if you buy one that is only Wifi, can you somehow use it on 3G in the future? Like is there an option to make it 3G? Or, when they have 4G capability,
No, the 3g model is different hardware. You ask for recommendation?
The actual tablet build is excellent, however, if you live outside the US, I would have serious reservations about purchasing! Motorola technical and customer support is appalling!

Motorola Xoom 32GB Wi-Fi Tablet for only $399 [Deal] | Android ...
by Cory Gunther
This device. I mean it was the first Android Honeycomb tablet, and it will be getting all the updates first so it’s worth the buy that is for sure. What’s even better is they are also offering 3 day shipping for the low low price of just $5 dollars. That is just too good to pass up if you ask me.
We all know plenty about the Xoom right? Dual-core 1 Ghz processor on that brilliant 10.1″ display all powered by NVIDIA Tegra 2′s processor and Android 3.2 Honeycomb. The Xoom has already seen updates to the latest version 3.2 so you should be able to take the OTA right out of the box and be good to go. If you are one of the few that missed out on the recent Acer Iconia A500 deal and have been waiting for another good time to get a tab, now is one of those moments.

BEST DEALS: Wi-fi Motorola XOOM now down to £329 » Eurodroid
by Gary_C
This is exactly what we want from android tabs, imo anyway.
iPads will always stay at roughly the same price, christ the original one is still silly money. With the entrance into the market from the bigger companies all selling standardised systems in the same niche comes the ability for the market to attenuate their prices.
So, thankfully, we’ll all get to have some very capable devices very soon for a very reasonable price.
Especially once kal-el comes out and we get generation 2 android tabs running ICS and quad cores.

Motorola ATRIX 4G vs T-Mobile LG G2x
There has recently been a surge in the Android powered smart phone market, and it seems that every smart phone developer, aside from Apple, is striving to introduce the latest and best phone. While HTC and Samsung have been incredibly successful and the predominate Android industry leaders, there are a few phones that have been [...]
Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc vs. Motorola Atrix 4G
The Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc attracted our attention as it is the most punctual, the most stylish and probably the most powerful smartphone of the Xperia line. This smartphone was launched at the exact launch date that had been announced, it looks very attractive and it sports many awesome features. Good enough, huh? However… …the [...]

Who will pay $600 for XOOM with WiFi?
by Joe Wilcox

Motorola's hot, Android 3.0 "Honeycomb" tablet goes on sale next week -- heck, some retailers are already taking preorders. Amazon has it for $599, Costco $589.99 and Staples $599.98. Surprisingly, BestBuy only lists the $799.99 unsubsidized XOOM with WiFi and Verizon 3G.
In my story two days ago about the official March 27 release , I asked Betanews readers if they would buy the $600 Wi-Fi-only XOOM. Yes, I also asked in February, but that was before iPad 2 was specked, priced, launched and sold out. Unfortunately, I asked the question again before another development. For a second time, AT&T has dropped the price on the original 3G iPad to $429, $529 and $629 for 16GB, 32GB and 64GB models, respectively. As I write the 32GB iPad 3G is sold out. There is no carrier comment. Now to those responses:
