None of the tablets are ideal for long-run reading because all of them have LCD displays. Tablets tend to be better at web browsing, apps, and games. They can pass as ereaders, but for reading, the display is key. Ereaders with E Ink Pearl displays

Should I get a tablet or a laptop?
Mar 07, 2011 by Richard | Posted in PDAs & Handhelds
I already own a desktop computer, so the tablet or laptop would be a portable computer. I do NOT want a netbook. The tablet I would get would be either the Motorola XOOM or the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1
Tablet.

On the Apple iPad you can buy a wifi only model and not be tied into any company. The Xoom is said that to even use the wifi capabilities you will need to have a data contract, pay monthly for internet access (Just like a cell phone). Others generally

This is exactly what we want from android tabs, imo anyway.
iPads will always stay at roughly the same price, christ the original one is still silly money. With the entrance into the market from the bigger companies all selling standardised systems in the same niche comes the ability for the market to attenuate their prices.
So, thankfully, we’ll all get to have some very capable devices very soon for a very reasonable price.
Especially once kal-el comes out and we get generation 2 android tabs running ICS and quad cores.

This device. I mean it was the first Android Honeycomb tablet, and it will be getting all the updates first so it’s worth the buy that is for sure. What’s even better is they are also offering 3 day shipping for the low low price of just $5 dollars. That is just too good to pass up if you ask me.
We all know plenty about the Xoom right? Dual-core 1 Ghz processor on that brilliant 10.1″ display all powered by NVIDIA Tegra 2′s processor and Android 3.2 Honeycomb. The Xoom has already seen updates to the latest version 3.2 so you should be able to take the OTA right out of the box and be good to go. If you are one of the few that missed out on the recent Acer Iconia A500 deal and have been waiting for another good time to get a tab, now is one of those moments.

Tablet comparison » HTC Jetstream vs. Motorola Xoom
by admin
Are you looking for just the right tablet and are wondering which one to choose? HTC has recently unveiled its new addition to the evergrowing tablet market, the 10-inch Jetstream. It packs really good specs but is also priced above the average. How does it compare to the older Motorola Xoom, which has been available for some time now? Let’s take a look at their specs and find out.
First of all, what can be said about their design ? For starters, the HTC Jetstream comes in a stylish Shimmering Silver color, but it is not the slimmest tablet around, at 13mm in thickness, nor the lightest – 709 grams. The Motorola Xoom, on the other hand, is not far, having a thickness of 12.9mm and weighing 730 grams. The difference between the two devices in terms of size is almost unnoticeable, so it’s pretty much a tie.
