Retailers in the US, namely Amazon and Best Buy, recently cut the Xoom’s price as well but not as drastic. Amazon lists the 32GB version for $449 while Best Buy has it at $499, which while decent prices, are nothing to skip the first day of school over. Motorola surely knows how to make the Xoom a blockbuster: do an HP and cut it to $99.

Motorola Xoom Price Reduced To £329 In The UK » Geeky Gadgets

It looks like a number of retailers here in the UK have decided to reduced the price of the Motorola Xoom tablet, obviously to boost sales, the Xoom is available in both 16GB and 32GB models.

When it went on sale six months ago, the Motorola Xoom retailed for £499 for the 16GB model and £580 for the 32GB models, now a number of UK retailers have dropped the price, one of those is Currys.

The price of the Motorola XOOM has reached new lows with the device, which was the first dual core tablet, now fetching a mere £314, a far cry from the £499 that it used to command.

Even as it turns nine months old, the XOOM still has top notch specifications; a dual core Nvidia Tegra 2 SoC clocked at 1GHz, Android 3.1 Honeycomb, 1GB RAM, 32GB onboard storage (with a microSD slot), a 10.1-inch 1280x800 pixel display, HDMI, USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, two speakers, a five megapixel rear camera and a two megapixel front-facing one, GPS and an estimated battery life of around 10 hours.
