I was looking for a good case to keep my new Motorola Atrix 4G safe, and at the time there weren’t too many to choose from. I didn’t have any experience with Otterbox’s cases in the past, but I had read a lot about them so I decided to give them a try. Some reviews of the Impact case said that it was nice, but it collected a lot of lint and it wasn’t always completely snug on the phone. The Defender case was said to be for more high-risk, heavy duty users of the phone that would be in an environment where it would be possible for the phone to be damaged. I was turned off by the Impact apparently being a lint magnet and not conforming to the phone well, and I definitely do not work or live in a high-risk area where my phone would need the kind of protection offered by the Defender. All that said, I decided the Commuter case would be best for my uses.

Motorola Atrix 4G is one of the fastest Android mobile phones available on the market because of the dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor. It’s quite expensive for $549.99 without contract or $199.99 for two-year contract. Therefore, you should take all the precautions to protect it against accidental impacts or scratches. Nowadays, this is much easier to do because you can find amazing Motorola Atrix Otterbox cases that will offer you the protection needed for your mobile phone.
These Otterbox cases aren’t too expensive. They have retail prices ranging between $20 and $50. One of the cheapest Motorola Atrix Otterbox case is the Impact Series case which costs only $19.95. This case is available only in one color: black and when you buy it you will receive a small screen cleaning cloth, a screen protector applicator, a screen protector and instructions. The Impact Series case is made of compression molded silicone that has an inner coring which absorbs impacts. The case covers the front edges of the Motorola Atrix which doubles the protection of your phone. As a result, when you put the phone on the table (face down) there won’t be any problems regarding scratches.

Just got this in the mail and I was disappointed.
Postives:
1. It seems well made and all the openings are in the right places.
2. It helps grip the phone better. The Motorola Attrix is so slippery that you have to have a case to avoid dropping it.
3. It was only ten bucks.
Negatives:
1. The case is very bulky. The silicon skin has little waffles on the inside and texture on the outside; which makes it twice as thick as regular silicon skin cases. The end result is it makes the phone almost a 1/4-inch thicker, wider and longer. So much for the thin form factor. It’s so thick that it feels like I have 2 phones in my pocket now. The waffles probably will protect the phone a little more than a standard silicon case.
