Nobody really knows what the new iPhone will have. Apple hasn't released any specs on updates nor when new version will be released. My personal opinion is they will change size of the hard drive and might add those features such as ichat.

5 iPhone apps for hiking | TUAW - The Unofficial Apple Weblog

Now that the weather is cooling down here in the States, it's time to spend some time outdoors. I love a good hike, and they're made even more enjoyable with a good app by my side. Track distance, brag about your workout or even find a hidden "treasure" during your excursion with these apps. Have fun (all prices are USD).

iMapMyHIKE (Free lite version, $1.99 pro)

I used iMapMyHIKE all summer. When you start out, launch the app and note your location. As you move, the app tracks your course. It's fun to see where you've traveled as well as build a real-time map back to your starting point, should you get confused.

iPhone ship times start to slip | TUAW - The Unofficial Apple Weblog

Mike M.

Can someone help me understand mobile processors a little more? The Samsung Galaxy SII has an A9 dual core processor. It seems most newer phone, not Apple, are A8 cpus or above. Why does Apple seem to be dwelling on the A5? One glance at Prof. Google and I find threads about how iOS is so efficient is doesn't need a faster processor. I don't buy that at all. All Apple products, non iOS, have leading-edge processors, even for the "world's best OS". That said I find it hard to believe that A5 will be the processor of choice in the new iPhone 5. Some clarification, please?
