I'm getting an iPad to use as a laptop for school and im wondering if 16GB will be enough or if i should spend another $100 and get the 32GB
i only really need space for a few essays and PowerPoint's
If you prefer an iPad, then do it. 16GB is well over enough.

Sounds like you shouldn't get an iPad! 16 GB's is a joke if your gonna use it for college and 32 GB's won't fair much either. You're much better off getting a PC Notebook (which actually had PowerPoint-PP is a Windows app not a Mac's!) for much less.

When you buy a product which has a hard drive, the formatted capacity is usually less than what they advertise, sometimes by a couple of gigabytes. Could someone actually tell me how much storage you have
you SHOULD be able to get 16 GB but it has all the things preloaded and its honestly only about 15-15.5 GB. 14 too low. cause with a iTouch it only takes away like .5-1 GB

Hey,
I have looked everywhere and can't find a decent answer to this question. I know the iPad 16gb has 16gb memory, but the OS etc takes up a few gb usually. So how much useable memory
I'm not sure specifically how much space the 16GB or the 32GB iPad have but the iPhone OS only takes up about 300 or so MB of space, so you don't have to worry about it. I guess the 16 would have like about 14GB free and the 32 about 29-30GB free. After

I know it depends on the size of the app but I'm confused on how this works and I can't find what I'm looking for. I guess the real question would be: How much data does 16GB hold? I don't understand.
