I am wavering between these two computers.
HP dv3-2007:

4GB DDR2 (2GB+2GB) (800mhz)

The 13" display on the HP will get old pretty quickly if you spend any length of time on the computer. For serious work, don't get anything with a monitor smaller than 14.1".
However, the HP has a better processor. For Windows

Get the one from the box. Its cheaper and faster.
