they were all sold the weekend that HP announced the sale - the stores here in the US ate up the inventory, and then put some signs saying "TOUCHPAD SOLD OUT"

Recently, I’ve just read at koolmobile site which wrote about HP TouchPad Android 3.0 Honeycomb Revealed, and it points to ebay store like you can see at screen shot below that mentioned “HP TouchPad 32GB WebOS 3.0.Soon Android Honeycomb”. This  HP touchpad android 3.0 honeycomb listed with price at US $310.00 with $20 shipping cost to get. This is be a break news of this week and last few weeks because, there is mad sale 99 HP Touchpad. Yes, I got late to get the available $99 price for this HP Touchpad tablet, because since it was on the market, this items was sold out in just a few times.

HP TouchPad CyanogenMod 7 Build Video Released Shows Multitouch Working Properly

If you are one of those who have bought one of the HP TouchPad couple of weeks ago in $99 sale then thinking about CyanogenMod 7 can be no more a dream for you to materialize. Few days back we heard that TouchDroid team has achieved the landmark of dual boot of WebOS and android gingerbread on same HP TouchPad tablet. Once Multitouch support was added to this tablet then things were really seemed to be turning in the positive direction for users.

The video has recently been released showing CyanogenMod 7 support on HP TouchPad full version is entering final stages. This means that after release of full version of this build, only WiFi support with removal of few bugs will be left out to be done on HP TouchPad.

Did You Buy A $99 HP Touchpad?

I was prepared to buy a Touch Pad as soon as the price came down to like $200 (it is less computer than my $250 Hannspree 10″ netbook). I will never buy into the arrogance of Apple nor the spy tactics (personal information harvesting) of Google. I had some hope for HP before they had time to totally destroy the palm OS. I am quite happy with my Palm telephone of several years ago but do not have hopes of HP maintaining the Palm reliability and smooth functioning software. However, with a discontinued product that never had a decent selection of applications developed for it, the Touch Pad is essentially worthless.

$99 HP TouchPad Update: 'Productive TouchPadLess Monday ...

Those who learned about HP's fire sale a little bit too late were not able to get their hands on one, but had their hopes revived when HP announced the following message via twitter, "HP getting more stock of TouchPad early in the week." That was last Monday.

Unfortunately, whatever the days HP considered "early in the week," customers didn't see new TouchPads on that day or on Tuesday, Wednesday, or the rest of the week.

HP has been keeping us intrigued over the $99 TouchPad, which may now be valued even more after several programmers have announced it would get the TouchPad running on the Android platform. Although media outlets have expressed  skepticism over running Android on the TouchPad and achieving a good level of performance, it hasn't abated fanfare enthusiasm that gets people to continue to type in "TouchDroid" in search engines.

Android for HP TouchPad port nearly ready to download – New ...

Two developer teams are working feverishly on bringing Android to the HP TouchPad — CyanogenMod and TouchDroid — and it now looks like the former is within striking distance of a fully-functional port.

In a video posted over on YouTube and included below, a CyanogenMod team member has shown off its progress so far, and nearly all of the TouchPad’s hardware is now supported. All that remains is to sort out the TouchPad’s wireless NIC. Once that has been completed, an easy-to-install CyanogenMod 7 download should be available for all those new $99 TouchPad owners who aren’t in love with the stock webOS experience.
