Looking at the screen shots below it appears that this Gingerbread tablet is running some sort of Honeycomb style UI customizations. If you’re wondering what this might look like, we’re reminded a bit of the Vizio 8 tablet and its customized UI, however, its unclear exactly how Velocity has gone about creating their user interface. The most unique quality about this tablet is that it ships with Amazon Appstore preloaded instead of the official Android Market. Looks like Amazon is really getting ready to take on Google in the app store market. If you’re wondering when you’ll actually be able to get this tablet in your hands, there is not estimated availability date but we do know that its got a 3400mAh, 12.6 Whr battery.

Pocketbook A10 Android Tablet Revealed | Good E-Reader Blog ...

Pocketbook has launched their second Android Tablet, which is a follow up to the Pocketbook IQ 701 . Today at IFA the company unveiled the new Pocketbook A10 Android powered tablet.

The Pocketbook A10 is a 10 inch TFT-LCD based device with a resolution of 1024×768 pixels. The new tablet is running Google Android 2.3.3 as the base operating system and will support multi-touch gestures.

Let’s take a look at the hardware on the new A10; it has a 1 GHZ single core processor and 512 MB of RAM. It has built in storage capacity of 4 GB and can be expanded via the SD Card up to 64 GB. It has a 2 MP front facing camera and built in WIFI to connect to the internet. The tablet weighs 670 grams and has dimensions of 244 x 207 x 15 mm. Battery capacity 6600 mAh provides up to 6.5 hours.

eLocity Outs Android 3.0 Honeycomb And Releases A10 Specs |

With the flood of tablets entering the arena at CES 2011 it’s absolutely necessary for the smaller companies to separate themselves from the crowd in hopes of being recognized and remembered. eLocity found a good way to do that, even though it’s made some people upset in the process. The company has gone against Google’s wishes and has outed Android 3.0 -Honeycomb- ahead of the scheduled official announcement. Most of you have probably never heard of eLocity, but even with that being the case, the new tableteer has several devices in the works for release this year. In a press release today, eLocity spoke about 7 different tablets that are planned to be shown at CES, all of which are part of the new A10 line. We’re not too excited about the names of the tablets -they’re called the A10.1 through A10.7- but silly name choice aside, we’re still interested. The company is definitely setup for success with solid distribution deals in place and while the detailed specs aren’t known yet, each A10 will be running a dual-core Tegra 2 processor (this is to cover the rumored Google requirements ), microSDHC support up to 32GB, USB ports and 1080p HDMI video output. A pre-order of the tablets will be starting January 17th, but as of right now pricing isn’t available. Is the fact the company is almost an unknown name going to effect the success of the tablet regardless of the actually quality?
