Dell streak is not 4G capable. Mine is the Streak 5, maybe you have the Streak 7. The Streak 7 is the much bigger one that does not have phone capabilities.

Either or both. In reality there is little difference between a "tablet" and a touch screen phone. With the exception that traditionally, tablets didn't make calls. Defining something in terms of a feature it doesn't have is somewhat ridiculous

It is somewhat a cross between a phone and a tablet. Having 5 inch display is awkward.. Too big for a phone, and too small for a tablet.. It shows features which are more inclined towards a phone, so I'll say phone.

The tablet war is soon going to intensify in the India market. With the launch of Apple ipad and announcement of RIM’s PlayBook and Samsung’s Galaxy tab, the options will be many for the consumers looking to buy a tablet in next few months. But before these tablets are officially introduced in India, Dell has already announced the launch of its 5-inch tablet – Dell Streak in India and therefore seeking to be the first mover in the market.

American computer maker Dell and search giant Baidu have announced a partnership to produce tablet computers for the Chinese market. The news comes as device-makers Apple and Lenovo consolidate an ever-stronger leadership position on a market with 900 million mobile phone subscribers. But even capturing a fraction of this potential customer base would be a big deal.
“We have a partnership with Baidu and you know we have the Streak 5 tablet, so the partnership will be in that space,” a Dell spokeswoman said in an interview with Reuters yesterday, and added that the two companies would be collaborating on handsets as well as tablets.
The Dell Streak 5 is an Android tablet that was discontinued in the U.S. due to poor performance, but perhaps it can be revived in Mainland China.

Baidu, the Chinese web service company that occupied 75.9 percent of internet search revenue in the Chinese market during the second quarter of 2011, has just launched its own mobile operating system Baidu Yi last week. The new system is technically a forked version of Google’s Android and will replace Android’s applications with in-house developed alternatives that target Chinese users.
