If the battery is dead, you can't make it to charge. Batteries have life span, so if it dies you got to replace it with a new one, just like any other batteries.

There is no Android 3.2, but if you meant 2.2 it will be upgraded at the end of the summer OTA. As far as the battery life, I've heard it would last a day with a mixture of web, gps, video and phone use

Wait for the iPhone 4 or get the Desire which has Flash player, better customisation, is more open and has a bigger screen. If you want to watch films you should get the Desire or the Streak because they support Flash player. The iPhone will not support
