It is like a laptop in that you can browse the web on it. It's a decent buy.
Be aware that the Dell Streak 7's battery life is among the worst of the tablets.
You might want to consider the ASUS Eee Pad TF101. It's a little

I own the Dell streak 7 and the Galaxy Tab (Both 7 & 10.1)

When the iPad first came out, people thought, “Whatever, I have a laptop for that.” Then people quickly started to recognize the genuine use of the iPad. It didn’t take long before all the major providers of mobiles and computers wanted to be part of the strong-growing action. Tablets became the current must-have. Not surprisingly, Dell is targeting to get a piece of the action. The Dell Streak 7 Wi-Fi Tablet is the consequence of that concern. We’re going to assess this Tablet in this article and offer you the answers you need for you to decide if it’s a good purchase or not. Remember to also do a search for tablet pc comparison and check out some Dell Streak 7 review on the internet prior to making your final selection.
A Wi-Fi Tablet Examined: The Dell Streak 7 | Way2Bookmarks
by loonranddolph
The Dell Streak 7 uses the Android OS (this version is affectionately named Froyo), which means that it should allow you to multitask between various apps somewhat easily. The sytem's notification service keeps you updated even if all apps aren't open and running, and simultaneously, you can keep your GPS information and listen to MP3s. It offers super easy access to your Gmail and other e-mail apps and accounts, so you don't have to worry about whether someone can reach you when you have your tablet with you.
Dell Streak 7 could become the budget tablet of your dreams ...

Dell hasn’t had the best luck when it comes to their phones and tablets division. Be it funky software or a crazy huge screen (the Streak 5 has paved the way for smartphones coming out now, display-wise), the company simply hasn’t seen the success it would like. When it comes to the Streak 7, poor sales can most likely be attributed to the software.
Specs-wise, the Streak 7 can pretty well keep up with the best of ‘em. It comes with an NVIDIA Tegra 2 1 GHz dual-core processor, 16 GB internal storage with microSD expansion slot, a 5 megapixel camera, a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera for video chat and a 7-inch display. The only really bad thing about the device hardware is the screen resolution. For a 7-inch tablet, 480×800 simply isn’t enough. But at the right price, with the right software, it could be.
Dell Streak 7 Scheduled for Honeycomb Upgrade | Tablet News
by James A.
Dell is getting ready to join the companies with Honeycomb devices, but not through an entirely new slate. It appears that their Dell Streak 7 model will receive the Android Honeycomb upgrade. This 7 inch tablet comes with a dual core Tegra 2 CPU, but also with a pretty poor resolution of 800 x 480 pixels.
As if the bad resolution wasn’t enough, the product was also crippled by Android 2.2 Froyo, but no more! Dell has promised an upgrade to Honeycomb and it seems we will get Android 3.2 here, which works just fine on this type of resolution and device. During IFA 2011 a couple of Streak 7 units with Honeycomb on board were seen. The majority of them had vanilla Honeycomb, coupled with Dell’s customized Stage UI as an extra.
1000 MHz NVIDIA Tegra II dual core processor Android 2 operating system 7.87 x 4.72 x 0.49 (h×w×d) 7 inch TFT touch screen at 480×800 MP MicroSD, MicroSDHC slots HSPA+ (4G) Propriety USB 2.1 Accelerometer, Compass LED auto-focus camera GPS with voice navigation Built-in online services support for Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Flickr 3D graphics hardware accelerator
The Streak 7 claims it has a stain resistant screen but it gets dirty very quickly. The slightest of tapping leaves smudges all over the screen. The rest of the body, made out of a hard plastic, resists dirt since it has a criss-cross pattern spread throughout the back. The tablet does not score much points in the display department since it is limited to 800×480 resolution and at extreme angles the view almost completely wiped out.
The Streak may not be anywhere near the iPad in power but for a mere $160 at Best Buy, it certainly is a great deal this Black Friday. Dell's tablet line hasn't received tons of love but it is a fairly solid product and the price is certainly right.
And although Engadget christened the S2005 a tabletphone, the device functions strictly as a tablet, similar to Dell's discontinued Streak 5. So consumers would still need a third-party VoIP service like Skype to make phone calls.
As it is, an array of differently sized models has already hit the market, ranging from the 5-inch Dell Streak and Samsung Galaxy Note up to the convertible Windows 7 tablets at 11.6-inches. “There is an opportunity for more screen sizes”, said Shim.
The Dell Streak 7 will be available for $0 upfront on the $29 Optus Tablet plan over 24 months and the Acer Iconia will be $0 upfront on the $39 Optus Tablet plan over 24 months. The Dell Streak 7 is also available with a prepaid SIM for $279.
