ASUS Eee Pad Slider Specs & Details Arrive as Launch Looms
18.05.34
We had originally expected the Slider in May, but after a delay we expect to see the device soon. The launch of the Eee Pad Slider webpage is promising news for fans who want to get this hybrid Android honeycomb tablet in their hands.
The big sell of the Slider, which makes it different from the Eee Pad Transformer, is that the Slider has a slide out chiclet style keyboard. This adds some bulk to the device, and lacks the flexibility of an external keyboard dock. If you do want a keyboard that is always with you, the Slider allows you to have a slimmer notebook.
The 10.1″ display has a 1280 x 800 resolution, 10 finger multitouch support and Corning Gorilla Glass. The sliding shell hides a Nvidia Tegra 2 processor 16 and 32GB of Storage and 1GB RAM. The tablet has a 1.2MP fornt facing camera and a 5MP rear camera. For connectivity, you have Bluetooth, and WiFi b/g/n as well as a USB 2.0 port, Mini HDMI, Audio Jack and SD card reader. There’s also a G sensor, light sensor, gyroscope, e-compass and GPS.

Android, Eee Pad Transformer Help Asus Grow Profits
18.05.77
While the PC industry is slowing down, Asus is buckling the trend thanks in part to its Android division and its flagship Eee Pad Transformer tablet, which comes at a more affordable price when compared to product offerings from its rivals and also has a unique laptop dock. For the Spring quarter, the company posted an increase of 5% in earnings and net profit of $242 million with an operating profit margin of 5.9 percent, the highest in three years.
The company has not released sales figure yet, but with the slowdown of netbook sales and a consumer frenzy over tablets with the market-leading iPad, Asus is rumored to have shipped 300,000 tablets a month. Unlike its rivals who can’t move enough tablets, Asus’s affordable pricing and unique design had the Eee Pad Transformer out of stock at many retailers when the device was first introduced.

Tablet keyboard cases turn Android devices into netbooks
25.08.11
However, the metal keyboard does weigh 1.4 pounds and costs $149, adding substantially to the 1.5-pound, $399 Transformer tablet (for the 16GB version; $499 for 32GB).
BLUETOOTH KEYBOARD CASE
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 might be the best non-iPad tablet, and that praise is not as faint as it sounds.
The company's Bluetooth Keyboard Case adds to that capability, turning your super-slim tablet into a typing machine.
While the tablet snaps easily into the case, there's no physical connection between the keyboard and the tablet.
Connecting by Bluetooth is easy and fast, but the battery in the keyboard case can't be shared with the tablet.
