Im soon getting a new laptop, Im thinking about getting an ASUS k series... any suggestions??
Asus has great reliability and the reviews I found on the web for the K series are overall positive.
If you just want a reliable laptop to watch movies and day to day activities is a good choice. If you will play games on it, or you want someone
I bought the netbook Asus 1005peb in june 2010. I love the computer but i saw that asus came out with a new one which is Asus pc1018pb. Just curious...is there any differences between them? I hate technology
both are netbooks so both suck no offence.
laptops are way faster and way more advanced.
netbooks are like 10 year old technology that got smaller.
they both have the same cpu
they both have the same ram
both
I am going to college this fall and I am thinking about getting an Asus laptop. I personally would like the laptop to be able to run most of games plus long battery life. Any price around 1,200$ would
Go to www.tigerdirect.com and look at their laptops.

The video card has an extra port on it that needs to be connected to the power supply directly. There is usually a 4-pin molex connector that should have come in the package if your power supply doesn't have something that plugs in directly. If this is

First question - do you have the 6-pin PCIe power cord plugged into the end of the video card? It needs that extra power (and you better have a 450+W power supply to provide it).
Second question - do you have the monitor cable attached

Ultrabooks will adopt lots of cutting-edge laptop technology, not unlike what Apple did to perfect the design of its MacBook Air, according to research from TrendForce.
The first Ultrabooks from Lenovo, Toshiba, and Asus already tap into some impressive technology. Lenovo's 0.6-inch thick U300s, for example, boasts a "breathable" keyboard to reduce heat and RapidDrive solid-state drive technology to deliver a 10.5-second boot time.
Apple's MacBook Air has been the highest profile example of a laptop that continues to push the envelope on design with novel display, battery, and motherboard designs. "Intel, along with the rest of the PC industry, aims to produce an Ultrabook as thin and light as the MacBook Air...[as a result] we believe the Ultrabook market share will jump from under 2 percent in 2011 to 10 percent in 2012, stimulating renewed growth in the PC industry," TrendForce CEO Kevin Lin said in a report released Tuesday.
Today, we will be looking at the ASUS P8P67. Although the board has been available for some time, this is one of ASUS' cheaper full size ATX offerings. Considering it has a price tag of $155 ($140 with rebate), it offers quite a few useful features such as DIGI+ VRM, BT GO! (Bluetooth), a total of four USB 3.0 ports, and Quad-GPU CrossFireX support.
Even though the P8P67 does not offer as many features as the more expensive models in this range, or even some of the optional extras in the box which other boards come with in the same price range, it does perform better than you may have initially thought. The dual GPU side of things is what lets this motherboard down, due to the second PCIe x16 being limited to x4 - it really restricts the amount of data which the GPU can receive. Although, the power consumption is higher than other motherboards we have tested, this could be down to a lesser quality component being used in order to save money compared to the other motherboards. Overall, I would say this motherboard is a good contender in the sub $160 price range but some of the additional extras which come with the ASRock P67 Extreme4 for example may be enough to sway people towards that board instead.

Temper that excitement. This isn't the rumored quad-core, Kal-El running Transformer 2 . Still, ASUS is doing its best to port the tab buzz to the enterprise set with its quietly introduced Eee Slate B121. Unlike its tablet PC bretheren, this business-minded slate runs Windows 7 Professional atop an Intel Core i5 processor, and comes loaded with the security tweaks necessary for the corporate road warrior: like Computrace LoJack for remote location and data wipe, and a Trusted Platform Module microchip that stores encrypted data. Also tacked on to the $1,500 12.1-inch package are a Bluetooth keyboard and Wacom Digitizer stylus. As for the specs, well, there's a 1280 x 800 LED Gorilla Glass display...
The manufacturer's 3DMark benchmark claims. It wasn't flawless though: overall computing performance was middling compared to rivals; the speakers were shoddy when it came to producing music rather than explosions; and the 17.3-inch Full HD display was slightly wasted on some games that only ran smoothly with high quality settings at 1280x720. Still, all this naval talk makes us fancy some Silent Hunter 4 -- and that should play just fine. Check out source link lurking below for the full review.
