i live in scotland near Dumbarton and where could get the archos 7 delivered today and that i do not have to pay for it for 6months and in Argos you do not have to pay for 6 months but my nan has my mum`s
NO place delivers the same day - in order to get it TODAY, you would have to physically go to a store and buy it...
As for getting it without paying for it (up front) - you would have to go to a place such as Argos (WITH a card for that

Just got this from the GF yesterday. it turned on and worked okay. I charged it all night, and now it wont fully turn on. it goes to the archos entertainment your way screen and that just blinks. :( Also,
let's see... boots to CMOS and shows splash screen, but won't load off the storage device. Before it wouldn't load, unit shows 7gb free, but won't install anything due to lack of space.

Archos has been making tablets as media players/web browsing devices for sometime, well before Apple's iPad. Last year's Archos 5 shipped with Android 1.5 and was not well reviewed. Critics were not fond with its plasticky screen, which did not have multi-touch, and the 5's instability and UI jerkiness....

Carphone Warehouse has cut the price of the Archos 7 Home tablet to £75, a clear sign that the tablet is on its way out with another new Arnova tablet, the 7c G2, likely to replace it soon.
The tablet was originally on sale for £180 but has attracted a number of criticisms based mainly on the fact that it comes with a resistive touchscreen and runs on Android 2.1 Eclair without any access to Android Market.
The tablet comes with a Cortex-A8 SoC clocked at 600MHz, 128MB RAM, 8GB onboard memory with a microSD card slot, Wi-Fi a 7-inch display with a 800x480 pixel resolution, Android 2.1 Eclair, Archos' own AppsLib store, tethering capabilities (even though it comes with Eclair), a USB port, a kickstand and the possibility to update to Android 2.2.
The Arnova 7 was first announced with few details in May, but the tablet's spec page is now live, revealing a budget device designed to allow users to surf the internet over Wi-Fi, read ebooks and watch videos.
The tablet supports HD video (720p) playback as well as a range of video compression standards including H.264, MPEG-4 and RealVideo (it also copes with .avi, .mp4, .mkv, .mov and .flv files and most popular music and graphic files are also supported). There's 4GB storage on board, expandable by a Micro SDHC card and connection to a computer is via its USB port, which also works in host mode for the connection of a USB drive, mouse or keyboard. The device measures 193.3 mm x 120 mm x 12.6 mm (7.6" x 4.7" x 0.5") and is quite lightweight at 340 g (12 oz).
