Is the iPad 2 sold in Canada carrier unlocked?

I asked in the US Apple store about the iPad 2 they sell and they told me that it's locked to AT&T or Verizon. I was wondering if this is the same in Canada, since they sell carrier unlocked iPhones.

i work at apple and its the same any where you go...so it etiher wifi, verizon, or AT&T but some worker have no idea what there talking about so no it wont be.

I asked a similar question at the apple store regarding the iphone4. If you unlock it and then you update the software, it becomes "locked" again. So the money you spent unlocking it...down the drain.

I jail broke my iPhone, not realising that I can only unlock certain features on my iPhone 3G, and seems I can't install apps' (for testing) at all.
Subsequently I joined the Apple Developer Program,


my mate jailbreak his G3 and installed a few apps BUT wen he got an update software message (which he did ) it totally locked it on to ITUNES SCREEN . TOOK HIM 4DAYS TO RESOLVE IT .
Just a little note for u to remember DONT UPDATE UR ITUNES PROGRAMME
