What type of iPad should I get out of these 2 options from Apple?

Brand new iPad 16GB or Refurbished iPad 32GB. They are both $499.99. I do need the extra space because I have lots of movies and TV shows. Am i better off to have less space and a new iPad or more space
There is nothing wrong with refurbished in my opinion because they replace most of the components and you still get a warranty with refurbished products + you can extend that warranty if you wish. If you need the extra space I would say get the refurbished

I've been saving up for an iPad, but recently I've been getting annoyed with my iPhone 3G because it's really slow and has been crashing a lot lately. I don't want an iPad 2 since I already have a laptop
I would grab the refurb iPad because the iPhone 4 is no improvement in screensize. But it sounds like you need a new phone badly.
The iPad, new or refurb, will cost less anyway. Considering the contract you have to pay.

Kinda tight in money right now, and I can get the first gen refurbished ipad for $350.
People are saying I should spend the extra money and get the ipad 2 because the first one will e bad
I have the first one and it kinda sucks. I would 2 because it has a camara and you can chat..also it is faster and slimer....go with the 2 if you are going to spend money spend it rights on something that is worth it...and if you don't have enough money

Guarantee you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a "brand new" iPad and a refurbished one. I pretty much exclusively buy Apple products refurbished (with the exception of iPhones cause they don't offer those). I've got a refubished MacBook Pro, Apple TV, and Airport Extreme. They all appear brand new when I get them and I haven't had any issues with them yet. And I've saved a lot of money.
Not sure I understand how refurbished iPads work for Apple price-wise. I mean, isn't it just cheaper to just make a new iPad, than to take an old one apart (unglue everything with a heat gun, etc…), take the logic board and screen out, then place it into a bran new casing, reassemble and glue everything back? I understand that the most expensive part is probably the screen, the memory and the storage, but I'm sure the manual work involved and the new outer shell and battery is almost just as expensive. This would explain why it's not that much cheaper.
Apple provides a 1 year warranty on any refurbished device. All refurbished models come complete with a brand new battery and outer shell, so the models look like new.
