Android Honeycomb Update for Iconia Tab A500 Now Sept
Phones Review Quickie: It appears that most Android tablet makers seem to have some difficulty when pushing out an update to their devices just lately, as you may know if you are an owner of the Acer Iconia Tab A500 slate, the tablet was due to receive the Android 3.2 Honeycomb update on the 25th of this month, but unfortunately never materialised.
According to the guys over Liliputing , the slate now has a new date scheduled for the Honeycomb update, and that Acer has given reason as to why the update was delayed. Apparently they are working to resolve some issues with GPS settings.
The android tablet maker has apparently now posted the new update date to the Acer Malaysia Facebook page, and the Android 3.2 Honeycomb update is now scheduled to roll out to the Acer Iconia A500 as of the 10th of September.

Though there are only few people that have rated the product for the reason that it was newly released by the company, but so far, basing on the reviews online, users are loving the Acer Iconia Tab A500-10S32u. I'd say this fits my needs enough for me to give it five stars but the technology isn't up to perfect enough for me to give it a five star recommendation to others. Programs do force close occasionally and some of my apps don't work with Honeycomb. There have been a couple of times I've wished I got the Win 7 version so I could get some of my bookkeeping done on my tablet but over all I'm happy. If you've been around computers for a little while and can remember the blue screen of death days with Win 95 or 98, you'll be familiar with the kind of mild annoyances newer software/hardware combinations bring you. It's kinda like that. If you've got an Android phone you're probably used to it, too...
