Feature set summary for Acer Iconia A100 review
This is a Wi-Fi-only device, so you may want to look at a more expensive alternative. Also, there isn't much in the way of onboard apps, so you'll need to download your own choices. However, it does a neat job of things such as contacts and email and has usable front and rear-facing snappers - for a price of around £250.

You should get around eight hours from a full charge, which is fine if you're running apps such as Skype or logging into Twitter, but for power-hungry tasks such as viewing videos, the power will drain far quicker.

Acer Iconia A501 Tab Available for Pre-Orders
06.09.11
AT&T had earlier announced that the company will introduce the 4G Acer Iconia A501 Tab within the year. This version of the device was similar to the Wi-Fi only version although it had an integrated 4G radio. Following the announcement by Acer of the availability of the tablet within the year, no other information was released by the company as it has yet to enter the market. But Amazon recently posted a pre-order page as it gave indications that the 4G Acer Iconia A501 Tab may soon enter the US market.
The 4G Acer Iconia A501 Tab was listed as a 16GB device with a price tag of around $500. Some observers have indicated that with the listed price of the device, it would make the 4G Acer Iconia A501 Tab among the most reasonably-priced ten-inch 4G tablet that runs on the Honeycomb Android OS.

Hardware
Those of you heavily aware of all Android goings on in the world should be questioning whether I refrained from mentioning the LG G-Slate because I thought it was actually a 10-inch tablet or because I didn’t think it was worth mentioning. Truth is it’s neither: the G-Slate being an 8.9-inch tablet and having 2 cameras on the back for 3D video and photo collection, I consider it to be another completely unique device. The G-Slate compares with the A100 in that it is smaller than 10-inches, and that’s where the similarities end. The G-Slate is much heavier than the A100, the Acer tablet is much more smoothly formed, and the G-Slate has the ability to display 3D media while you’re wearing your included 3D red and blue glasses.
