Acer Iconia A100 Review by 3G.co.uk
Feature set summary for Acer Iconia A100 reviewThis is a Wi-Fi-only device, so you may want to look at a more expensive alternative. Also, there isn't much in the way of onboard apps, so you'll need to download your own choices. However, it does a neat job of things such as contacts and email and has usable front and rear-facing snappers - for a price of around £250.
Style and handling summary for Acer Iconia A100 review
The A100 is quite heavy but has a neat shape that allows it to fit inside a jacket pocket
Battery power summary for Acer Iconia A100 review
You should get around eight hours from a full charge, which is fine if you're running apps such as Skype or logging into Twitter, but for power-hungry tasks such as viewing videos, the power will drain far quicker.
Acer Iconia Tab A100 (16GB)
From a purely aesthetic perspective, the Acer Iconia Tab A100 looks a lot like the A500 we reviewed a few months ago. From its sloped edges to the placement of its front camera and SD card implementation, it's clear that the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree. However, due to the smaller form factor, the A100 has to settle for micro versions of ports instead of the full-size versions included on the A500.On the bottom edge of the tablet sit the bulk of its ports, including a recessed reset button, Micro-HDMI, Micro-USB, a power adapter port, and a port for connecting to a dock accessory. On the opposite edge, from left to right, are the headphone jack, the power button/screen lock, and a microphone pinhole. On the top edge are the volume rockers, lock switch (which keeps the screen from rotating), and a compartment that opens to reveal the microSD card slot. The front left bezel houses the 2-megapixel camera with an iPad-like hardware home button located on the far right side of the bezel. On the back near the top edge sits a 5-megapixel camera with a flash bulb.

For most of 2011, tablets and the Android "Honeycomb" operating system have been buzzing around each together like, well, bees and honey. But the latest version of Android has not been seen on 7-inch-screened slates. Acer, though, broke the trend and paired it with the Iconia Tab A100. In theory, we like the idea, but we wish Acer had paid more attention to the hardware to create a desirable finished product. As is, the Iconia Tab A100 is not a bad tablet, but a tablet needs more than a smooth operator (err…operating) system to make it a winner here in 2011, considering the competition.
The A100 is not only the sole 7-inch Honeycomb tablet so far—it's

The Acer Iconia Smart is apart of a new line of mobiles called a phone tablet. The predominant characteristic of the Acer Iconia Smart and most of these phone tablet's is that they have a very large display (almost always over 4 inches). Although Acer has not yet officially released this bad boy, there is some video coverage of the Iconia Smart showing many of its special features. Most of all, this phone will support the Android OS and as such should compete well with other phonetablets such as...

How much are you willing to sacrifice to get the perfect tablet of your choice? Do you accept the tablet being a bit thicker to accommodate more room for extra features or do you prefer the basic bare bone hardware and the tablet keep its slick and light design? These are some of the question most tablet seekers ask themselves when considering the best tablet for themselves. The new Acer Iconia A-500 Tablet is portraying its self as the bulky and more to offer rather than sticking to the company practice of jamming in the basics in the most smallest of sizes.

Acer Iconia Touchbook & Acer Iconia TAB W500 - The Futuristic ...
ACER Iconia Series – Have you seen the movie Minority Report by Tom Cruise way back 2002? Well, this article is not about his movie but when I first saw and read ACER Iconia from one of my favorite magazines last night, this movie flashed back into my head. If you’re wondering why, get a load of what this monstrous notebook has to say. For me, it’s already on my wish list for this year – something that I would really want to have.
Are you getting tired of cleaning your keyboard and touchpad? Well, worry no more because ACER Iconia is now here – button-”less” notebook.
ACER Iconia was first showcased at ACER’s Global Press Event in New York last November 2010, wherein the company’s talking nothing but “touch” and they say with their new laptop you’ll experience lots of touch and more touch – they said it right. And recently, ACER Philippines together with Microsoft Philippines launched their Iconia bandwagon – the 14-inch dual touchscreen Iconia Touchbook and 10.1-inch Iconia Tab. The Iconia Touchbook runs on Windows 7 and inside it is Intel’s Core i5 480M processor with 4GBs of RAM. And yeah, you can also stretch applications (any Windows compatible applications) such as browsers on both screens, while the bottom screen can turn into a virtual keyboard with a virtual thumbpad whenever you press it with your palm – lots of virtual, eh? Way too cool, isn’t?
